Morley Spencer and Doug Bristol, Principals

Spencer Bristol Engineering is the result of a long and successful working relationship come full circle. The firm's principals, Morley Spencer and Doug Bristol, first worked together in the early 1990s when they held executive positions at the same large international engineering firm.

Although both eventually left to form their own engineering firms, they often found themselves working together on projects and quickly developed a productive relationship driven by their shared values and similar vision for how to best serve their clients. Eventually they joined forces to form  Spencer Bristol Engineering.

Originally from Bristol, England, Morley began his engineering career at the  respected British firm of Drake & Scull Engineering, Ltd. before moving to the United States in 1973 to fulfill a long-held ambition of becoming an American citizen.

Morley chose to settle in Georgia where he continued his career as a principal in a Macon, GA engineering firm, followed by the role of Engineering Vice President for a large, international multi-discipline firm in Atlanta. It was there he first worked with Doug Bristol who headed the firm's electrical engineering division and began the strong working relationship that continues today with Spencer Bristol Engineering.

Morley's experience includes the design of HVAC systems, process piping and fire protection systems for projects ranging from small renovations to multi-million dollar commercial projects including international projects in Panama, Mexico, and other locations. His particular expertise is complex renovation projects.  He is registered in states throughout the Southeastern US and in California.
